The Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts Łódź, a public institution of higher education established in 1945, is an excellent choice for those who would like to enter a profession in the field of fine arts and design. The attractive educational offer, distinguished teachers and well-equipped studios give students a guarantee of a successful career on a competitive labour market. The Academy’s students are awarded in numerous competitions and their projects meet with great interest on the part of representatives of industry and business.
The Academy’s two faculties offers 12 study courses: animation, textile and interior, photography and multimedia, interior design, product design, sculpture, painting and drawing, graphics design and printmaking, art education in the field of visual arts and nationwide unique programmes in fashion design, jewellery design and theatre, film and television techniques. The institution’s offer includes also various postgraduate courses and PhD studies. The Academy cooperates with over eighty institutions of higher education within Erasmus+ Programme as well as many other art and culture related organisations and business partners all over the world. It is an active participant of numerous international projects and organizes international events. In 2013 it hosted the first Young Triennial of Textile Art. Every year it offers the International Summer Courses of Printmaking and Textile Art – PATA, the international contest “Łódź Young Fashion Award” and the international contest “Blue Drop”.
